At a glance
- A pledge supports a creator’s project; it does not buy equity or promise a financial return.
- Creators are responsible for their campaign claims, use of funds, communication, and rewards.
- Platform review is not a guarantee. Your statutory rights remain protected.
This summary helps you navigate. The full policy below explains the details.
1. Scope and acceptance
By registering, submitting a project, posting content, or making a pledge, you agree to these terms and the policies applicable to that activity. You may browse public pages without an account. An account is required to pledge, comment, follow projects across devices, submit creator applications, and use account-based tools. Guest pledging is not currently offered.
A campaign’s stated reward, delivery, cancellation, and other project-specific terms supplement these platform terms. They cannot override applicable law or remove mandatory user rights. Features or commercial arrangements not actually offered on WEEFUND are not included merely because another crowdfunding platform offers them.
2. Eligibility and account security
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into the relevant agreement. If acting for an organisation, you must have authority to bind it. Provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your password, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Do not impersonate others, share an account to bypass restrictions, submit another person’s identity document without authority, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may restrict accounts where there is a reasonable security, fraud, legal, or policy concern and provide an opportunity to respond where appropriate.
3. The platform, creators, and backers
WEEFUND provides discovery, campaign publishing, community, and account tools. A creator makes the project promises. When you back a campaign, the campaign-specific commitment is between you and its creator; Wefund Pvt Ltd separately remains responsible for its own platform services and any duties imposed on it by law.
We are not the manufacturer, project manager, insurer, investment adviser, or guarantor of independent campaigns. An approval, featured placement, funding bar, founder story, identity-review label, or search ranking is not an endorsement of future performance. Illustrative sample projects are not real fundraising offers and cannot accept payments.
4. Creator access and campaign review
Creator access requires an account, a business-profile application, and an administrator’s manual identity-document decision. The current identity step asks for an eligible non-Aadhaar credential PDF, credential number, full legal name, date and place of birth, and residence address. Documents are reviewed by an administrator; WEEFUND does not query a government registry or certify the document’s authenticity.
Creator approval permits access to Creator Studio, not automatic public campaign publication or payout eligibility. Each submitted campaign requires a separate publishing decision. Payment providers may impose their own onboarding checks. We may request corrections, decline a submission, pause visibility, or investigate a reported problem. Approval does not transfer a creator’s responsibilities to WEEFUND.
5. Project information and commitments
Creators must accurately describe their identity, project stage, prototype or concept, funding purpose, budget, milestones, risks, rewards, quantities, delivery estimates, shipping conditions, and applicable charges. Creators must have the rights and permissions needed for their content and project.
Creators must use funds for the disclosed project purpose, communicate material changes and delays, respond meaningfully to backers, and take reasonable steps to fulfil their commitments. A material reduction in an already-promised reward or an additional compulsory charge cannot simply be imposed retrospectively; the creator must explain the change and respect the backer’s consent and legal remedies.
6. Pledges and crowdfunding risk
A rewards or support pledge gives no shares, ownership, debt instrument, interest, profit share, or guaranteed monetary return. A no-reward pledge does not entitle you to a reward. Do not assume a contribution qualifies for a charitable tax deduction.
Projects may change, be delayed, fail, or be unable to deliver some or all promised rewards. Estimated dates are not proof of completion. Review the creator, project plan, risks, funding model, and refund terms before deciding, and do not commit money you cannot afford to put at risk. This acknowledgement is not a waiver of fraud, consumer, payment-dispute, or other non-excludable rights, and it does not classify a pledge as gambling.
Awards, grants, certifications, press coverage, customers, admission to programmes, or other recognition are decided by the relevant third parties. WEEFUND does not promise any such result or a particular reward, and a badge or founder article must not be represented as that third party’s endorsement.
7. Funding models and payment timing
Flexible funding means that missing the goal does not, by itself, cancel the creator’s project or automatically entitle every pledge to a refund. All-or-nothing funding links project eligibility to the displayed goal and deadline; the creator must not treat a missed target as permission to keep funds contrary to the disclosed campaign terms or applicable law.
The current integrated checkout collects payment when the backer authorises the transaction, not automatically only at the campaign deadline. A funding-model label is not a deferred-charge mandate, an escrow arrangement, or proof of a completed payout. Do not pledge on the assumption that a pending target prevents an immediate charge. Refund requests are reviewed through the process in our Refund & Cancellation Policy; an automatic goal-failure refund engine is not currently provided.
Payment methods, availability, and provider requirements are shown at checkout. The current gateway integration is Razorpay where live checkout is enabled. Failed or abandoned payment attempts are not confirmed pledges. Production checkout cannot accept real payments without live gateway credentials. WEEFUND does not promise an automated creator payout schedule; any settlement requires the applicable payment-provider arrangements and operational approval.
8. Prices, fees, taxes, and tips
Account registration and browsing do not carry an account-opening fee. Any pledge amount, shipping charge, tax, processing charge, platform charge, or optional platform-support amount must be disclosed before you authorise payment. A creator must not hide unavoidable charges in a later message or describe an optional tip as compulsory.
The displayed currency is INR unless a particular payment flow expressly says otherwise. Language or currency preferences do not create foreign-currency checkout. Your bank or payment provider may impose its own disclosed conversion or transaction charges. Creators are responsible for the taxes and lawful invoicing connected with their projects. Refund treatment follows the applicable policy and law, not a blanket assumption that every fee is non-refundable.
9. Cancellations, refunds, and reward disputes
Read our Refund & Cancellation Policy and the campaign’s disclosures before pledging. A completed payment cannot currently be edited or cancelled using a self-service pledge button. You can submit a cancellation, missing-reward, duplicate-charge, or refund request through Support and include the payment reference.
Creators remain responsible for the project commitments and any refund, defect, warranty, or delivery duties that apply to them. WEEFUND may review platform activity, seek a creator’s response, and assist with routing a complaint, but does not guarantee a particular settlement. Nothing in these terms blocks a lawful payment dispute, complaint, consumer remedy, or regulator contact.
10. Following and communications
Following keeps a project’s public updates in your account. Email updates require a separate request and confirmation at the current account email; following alone does not retroactively subscribe existing accounts. Unsubscribe from an email or turn off emails from Following without unfollowing the project. Delivery depends on a configured sender and the recipient’s mail service; a queued or sender-accepted message is not proof of inbox delivery.
Use public comments and updates respectfully. Private identity submissions and support requests are not public campaign comments. Do not publish passwords, full identity numbers, private addresses, financial credentials, or someone else’s personal information in a public discussion.
11. Content, intellectual property, and AI
You retain your rights in content you submit. For public project content, you grant WEEFUND a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, format, and distribute that content as necessary to operate and promote your project on the service. This is not an assignment of your intellectual property. Private identity documents and private support records are not licensed for public promotion.
Do not infringe copyright, trademarks, confidentiality, publicity, or other rights. Distinguish real prototypes from renderings or simulations. Clearly disclose materially AI-generated project imagery, demonstrations, or product content where a backer could otherwise mistake it for actual work or evidence. AI use does not excuse false claims or infringement. Founder-resource articles do not imply that the featured founders endorse WEEFUND.
12. Prohibited use and platform enforcement
Where justified by the concern, we may request information, limit visibility, suspend a campaign, restrict an account, preserve relevant records, or cooperate with an authorised payment provider or competent authority. These measures do not create a general promise of continuous monitoring, independent auditing, escrow, or reimbursement. You may ask us to review an enforcement decision through Support.
- Fraud, unlawful fundraising, money laundering, counterfeit goods, or prohibited and unlicensed regulated products or services.
- Equity, debt, interest, profit-sharing, guaranteed investment returns, or claims of an unprovided licence, government approval, or payment protection.
- Fake pledges, invented backers, misleading funding totals, manipulated reviews, bots, coordinated cancellation schemes, or false scarcity.
- Hate, threats, harassment, exploitation, doxxing, malicious code, credential theft, or unauthorised access and scraping that compromises the service.
- Misusing contributor data, selling identity documents, evading a suspension, or redirecting a pledge to an undisclosed personal payment channel.
13. Closing accounts and surviving obligations
You may request account closure, deletion of personal data, or removal of a project through Support. We may need to verify your authority and address outstanding pledges, project commitments, fraud concerns, legal retention, or disputes first. Account deletion is not an automatic pledge cancellation, refund, or release from a creator’s obligations.
Records needed for transactions, disputes, legal duties, or security may be retained where justified. Public information may remain in required transaction records or third-party caches. Confidentiality, accrued payment and performance duties, applicable content licences, and provisions intended to survive continue as necessary after closure.
14. Service limits and responsibility
We aim to provide an available and accurate service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free third-party services, campaign success, reward fulfilment, or a specific commercial result. Creators are responsible for their independent project decisions and statements. Backers remain responsible for assessing the disclosed risks.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, WEEFUND is not responsible for an independent creator’s failure to fulfil a project promise or for losses caused solely by third-party services outside our control. These limitations do not exclude responsibility for WEEFUND’s own acts or omissions where law imposes it, fraud, wilful misconduct, non-excludable duties, or mandatory user rights. No blanket waiver or automatic release of all liability is created by a typed acknowledgement.
15. Complaints and governing law
Contact Support or the grievance contact listed below with the campaign URL, relevant dates, payment reference if applicable, and the remedy you seek. Do not send a full card number, password, OTP, or identity PDF in an ordinary complaint. We may seek information from the parties and communicate a response in your support request or through the contact details provided.
These platform terms are governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Courts with lawful jurisdiction and applicable consumer or regulatory forums remain available. These terms do not impose mandatory private arbitration or take away a consumer’s legally available forum.
16. Changes and electronic records
The version and effective date appear on this page. Material changes will be identified on the service, with additional notice or consent where required by law. Changes do not retrospectively erase already-accrued project commitments or legal remedies. A new activity may require acceptance of the version then in effect.
Application and pledge acknowledgements may record your typed name, the declaration version, and the acceptance time. They are electronic acknowledgements, not a claim of a certified digital signature, Aadhaar eSign, notarisation, or automatic signing on your behalf. Do not sign for someone else without authority.
