At a glance
- Creator approval and campaign publication are separate administrator decisions.
- Show real work, realistic costs, meaningful risks, and clear reward conditions.
- Keep supporters informed and take responsibility for the commitments you make.
This summary helps you navigate. The full policy below explains the details.
1. Complete the creator application
Use your own accurate account and business details. The current process first reviews your business profile and then requests an eligible non-Aadhaar credential PDF and related identity details for an administrator’s manual decision. Do not upload someone else’s document, a fabricated document, or information you are not authorised to provide.
An in-review application remains the same application; use the status page and submit corrections when requested. Access is enabled after approval. A manual review label does not mean government verification, a credit check, bank verification, certification of the business, or a guarantee of performance.
3. Prepare a complete campaign
Publish these details in the campaign story and FAQ so backers can review them before paying. Do not accept support on material terms available only after payment. WEEFUND may request changes before publication.
- A truthful title, description, project category, location, and current stage.
- Images and video you may lawfully use, with concepts, mockups, AI-generated evidence, and actual prototypes distinguished clearly.
- The funding goal, funding model, deadline, proposed use of funds, and a reasonable budget.
- Reward descriptions, included items, quantities, eligibility, shipping conditions, charges, and realistic delivery estimates.
- A delivery roadmap, material uncertainties, dependencies, and a plan if the schedule or scope changes.
- Project-specific cancellation, refund, defect, and support information consistent with platform policies and applicable law.
4. Publishing and changes
A submitted project stays in review until an administrator publishes it. Creator Studio lets you manage permitted content before publication. Core content is locked for creator edits after publication; use public updates and contact Support if an important correction is needed.
Do not use administrative corrections to silently reduce existing backer entitlements or impose new mandatory charges. Explain material changes, preserve relevant records, and seek affected backers’ agreement or provide remedies where required. A stretch goal describes additional work; it is not a substitute for your original commitments.
5. Funds, payment providers, and fees
Use raised funds for the described project purpose and keep adequate records. Do not divert funds to an undisclosed unrelated business, personal spending, prohibited products, or a financial-return scheme. State charges before payment and account for taxes, shipping, production, support, and refunds in your budget.
Only successfully recorded payments count as confirmed support. An order, displayed target, funding bar, or pending pledge is not proof of settled cash. WEEFUND does not currently provide automated bank onboarding, a reserve programme, a selectable payout calendar, or a milestone escrow product. Any settlement must follow actual provider onboarding and the applicable written arrangements.
Our integrated checkout charges immediately when authorised. If your project uses an all-or-nothing label, do not misrepresent that as a promise that a card is charged only at the deadline. You remain responsible for the applicable goal-failure cancellation/refund obligations.
6. Delivery, delays, and inability to complete
Make reasonable efforts to complete the project and deliver each promised reward. Arrange lawful manufacturing, quality, safety, customs, taxes, licences, and fulfilment. Estimated dates should have a factual basis and must not be presented as a guaranteed result when uncertainty remains.
If you cannot fulfil a commitment, explain what happened, the use of funds, the work completed, the remaining resources, your revised plan, and the available refund or other remedy. Project risk does not excuse fraud, deliberate misuse, misleading advertising, or a duty imposed by law. A platform approval or a backer’s acknowledgement does not erase your obligations.
7. Communicate progress honestly
Publish meaningful updates at major milestones, whenever material problems or delays emerge, and at reasonable intervals while commitments remain outstanding. Respond to substantive backer and platform questions. Do not remove difficult questions merely to create a false impression of progress.
Public updates appear on the campaign and in followers’ accounts. Confirmed email subscribers may also receive them when a sender is connected. Do not put private identity details, bank credentials, shipping addresses, or other confidential backer data in an update or comment.
8. Prohibited practices
Suspected violations can lead to review, restricted visibility, suspension, or account action, proportionate to the concern. We may cooperate with authorised payment providers or competent authorities where appropriate and lawful.
- Fake funding, self-pledges arranged to inflate apparent demand, false backer counts, bots, fabricated endorsements, or manipulated reviews.
- Concealing your project stage, financial risk, delivery failure, material AI use, extra charges, or a material change in promised rewards.
- Offering equity, interest, dividends, profit share, guaranteed financial returns, illegal goods, or unlicensed regulated services.
- Misusing private supporter information, unsolicited marketing, impersonation, harassment, or collecting an undisclosed off-platform payment to evade safeguards.
9. Handle backer information carefully
Use any supporter information lawfully made available to you only for the stated project, fulfilment, necessary service communication, and legal obligations. Do not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing without a valid basis. Keep it secure and delete or return it when the purpose ends unless lawful retention is necessary.
Follower subscription addresses and private identity documents are not publicly exposed to creators. Do not try to bypass platform access controls. A backer’s choice to display a public name does not permit you to publish their private email, address, or payment details.
10. Complaints, refunds, and cooperation
Maintain a clear way for backers to raise fulfilment or reward concerns through the project discussion or Support. Cooperate with legitimate refund, payment-dispute, safety, rights, and fraud enquiries and provide relevant records without unnecessary personal information.
You are responsible for applicable refunds, defective or misdescribed rewards, warranties, taxes, and other legal obligations. Do not state that every pledge is non-refundable in all circumstances or that WEEFUND approval prevents a backer from taking legal action.
11. Suspension and closure
You may ask Support to withdraw an unpublished project or review a live campaign’s status. Stopping a campaign or closing an account does not automatically cancel captured payments, complete refunds, or remove commitments to existing backers.
We may retain records or limit deletion where needed for transactions, disputes, legal duties, or security, and may ask for a response to an enforcement concern. Do not create another account to bypass an unresolved restriction.
