At a glance
- Read the project’s actual stage, risks, reward conditions, and funding model.
- Checkout can charge immediately; a campaign goal is not a deferred-payment instruction.
- Creators remain accountable. A risk acknowledgement does not remove your legal rights.
This summary helps you navigate. The full policy below explains the details.
1. Your account and eligibility
You may browse projects without signing in. To pledge, comment, follow across devices, or use account tools, create your own account and provide accurate details. You must be 18 or older and legally able to make the commitment. Guest pledging is not currently supported.
2. Review before pledging
Ask questions in the project discussion. Featured placement, funding totals, sample projects, and external founder stories are not guarantees, independent due diligence, or third-party endorsements.
- Who the creator is and what their manual-review label does and does not mean.
- Whether the project is an idea, prototype, or production-ready product; whether images are real, rendered, or illustrative.
- The funding purpose, roadmap, budget, risks, and proposed response to delays.
- The selected reward or no-reward choice, estimated delivery, destination limits, charges, and refund conditions.
- Your own ability to accept the possibility of delays, changes, or project failure.
3. What your pledge means
You support a creator’s project on the disclosed terms. Rewards are commitments made by that creator, not guaranteed stock held by WEEFUND. Choosing to pledge without a reward does not give a right to a reward later.
You receive no equity, ownership, interest, profit participation, guaranteed financial return, or guaranteed award. Do not interpret a campaign as an investment offer, a licensed financial product, or a promise of a tax deduction. Projects can fail, but creators remain subject to their commitments and applicable law.
4. Payment and funding
Review the final total and payment details before authorising a transaction. Current integrated checkout charges when payment is authorised; it does not wait automatically for the campaign deadline or goal. A goal-based label does not create escrow or an automatic refund service.
Only successful payments are confirmed. A failed or pending attempt may need investigation by the payment provider; do not make repeated payments to fix a problem without checking the original status. Do not send money to an undisclosed account or give a creator your card credentials, banking password, or OTP.
5. Changes, cancellations, and complaints
A completed pledge cannot currently be edited or cancelled with a self-service control. Use Support for a cancellation, duplicate charge, failed payment debit, missing reward, or other dispute. Include the campaign and payment reference, not sensitive payment credentials.
Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, the funding model, and the disclosed campaign terms. A creator’s policy does not override mandatory remedies. A refund is not guaranteed merely because a project is disappointing; equally, a risk acknowledgement does not permit fraud or remove every remedy. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the process.
6. Delivery and additional charges
Provide the details needed to fulfil a selected reward accurately. A creator must disclose destination limits, shipping treatment, taxes, and unavoidable charges before payment. Any later material change or additional compulsory charge must be explained and handled consistently with your consent and legal rights.
Delivery estimates can change, but creators must communicate material delays and their plan. WEEFUND does not choose third-party awards or guarantee product quality, completion, reward delivery, recognition, or a commercial outcome.
7. Following, email, and respectful discussion
Follow a project to see public updates in your account. You may request email updates separately and confirm them at your current account email. Unsubscribe from a project email or turn emails off in Following at any time without unfollowing. Existing in-app followers are not automatically opted in.
Stay constructive in comments. Do not impersonate a backer, manipulate reviews, harass a creator, disclose private data, or post malicious links. Report suspicious activity through Support rather than publishing someone’s identity document or financial details.
8. Account closure and your rights
Request account closure or a privacy review through Support. Closure does not by itself cancel a pledge, trigger a refund, or remove outstanding obligations. Some records may be retained for transactions, security, disputes, or legal duties.
You retain any non-excludable consumer, privacy, payment-dispute, and other statutory rights. You may contact the grievance contact below and use any competent court, consumer forum, payment-provider dispute process, or regulatory channel available to you.
